This months featured article from Kung Fu Magazine focuses on the newly released fourth installment in The Matrix Franchise. The movie was released on December 22nd and has been the subject of a lot of focus for it’s modern reboot to an incredible influential film franchise. Much of the article focuses on the social aspect of the movies release in relation to the directors involvement in the LGBTQ+ community.

The martial arts were also portrayed in a much more modern action style, with a shaky camera and CGI similar to the original movies. Choreographer Chad Stahelski plays a part in the film as a nod to his previous work with the franchise and similar Wachowski projects. The film has been received very well and it still holds up with the rest!
