Sifu Roosevelt Legette
Began his martial arts journey in 1973 as a student in Tae Kwon Do.
In 1979 he transitioned to Japanese Jujitsu and Shotakan Karate.
In 1983 Sifu Roosevelt began his training in Jeet Kune Do.
His Chinese martial arts training began in 1990 studying Shaolin Kung-fu, Tiger, Crane, Eagle, Mantis and Wing Chun.
In 1995, Sifu Roosevelt met Master Ron (then Sifu Ron Suucarotte) where he trained for over 5 years.
In 1996 he began training with the then school's resident Internal martial arts instructor, Sifu Fran Archangelo, where he added, Tai CHi, BaQua and Leho Bafa to his resume.
In 2001 Sifu Roosevelt went back to his Jeet Kune Do roots under the Guru Dan Inasonto lineage under Sifu Guru John Lopez and Sifu Ron Balicki.
In 2016 training under Sifu Jeff Jones (2016- Present).
2024 Sifu Roosevelt joined our Team at AMAI and is an INstructor in the Teen and Adult Program.
