In this blog series, we will post minders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership to your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! Be sure to check out our youtube channel for videos from this quarter’s forms! As our summer quarter continues make sure to practice your forms!

Lil’ Dragons: Lil’ Dragons students warmed up with a series of animal walks. They practiced their Fly Through The Sky, and Wrap Around The Pole from their dragon form! To help with their Fly Through The Sky parents can drop pillows from up high. Students should walk in a circle to dodge the falling pillows and use their dragon claws to block! Keep practicing your Dragon form and be ready to Fly Through The Sky!

BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with an endurance workout. They practiced their kicks on bags and with partners. Students also practiced their entire form from start to finish. Students should practice their form to prepare for performances!

Teen and Adult Basic: This week students began class with an endurance workout and a series of basic stretches. Students practiced their entire fighting form. Students also reviewed their basic kicks on bags!

Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with an endurance workout. Students practiced each section of their form individually! Students practiced their abduction defenses on instructors. Students should practice their form from start to finish to prepare for performances!

Adult/Teen BBC Program: This week, the Adult and Teen BBC students started off class with an endurance workout and a series of stretches. They began performing their form from start to finish. Make sure to practice section three focusing on powerful strikes. 

Foundation Weapons: Students in the Foundation section of weapons started off by reviewing their forward and reverse flowers. The focus was on combining sections three and four of their form. Students practiced their forms with a count focusing on smooth flowers and powerful strikes. Students should practice their flowers and other basic techniques from class.

Advanced Weapons: This week, the Advanced weapon students warmed up with more advanced flowers and spear techniques. Students then learned section four of their form. Students should practice section four of their form to get ready to add it to the rest of their form.
