In this blog series, we will post minders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership to your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! Be sure to check out our youtube channel for videos from this quarter’s forms! As our summer quarter continues make sure to practice your forms!

Lil’ Dragons: Lil’ Dragons students warmed up with a series of partner workouts. They practiced their Pounce, and Leave The Cave from their dragon form! To help with their Punce parents can hold a pillow or stuffed animal in front of students. Students should reach out with their dragon claws to grab the target and pull it towards themselves! Keep practicing your Dragon form and be ready to show off your Pounce!

BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with a series of relay races. They reviewed sections one and two. Students also began learning section three of their form. Students should practice their roundhouse and side thrust kicks to prepare for next week!

Teen and Adult Basic: This week students began class with an endurance workout. Students practiced their basic striking combinations from their fighting form. Students began learning section three of their fighting form!

Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with a series of relay races. Students reviewed sections one and two of their form! Students began learning section three of their form. Students should practice section three of their Lian Huan form as well as their basic stretches!

Adult/Teen BBC Program: This week, the Adult and Teen BBC students started off class with an endurance workout. They finished the form with section three. Make sure to drill your basic stances and stretch every day to stay safe and healthy. 

Foundation Weapons: Students in the Foundation section of weapons started off by practicing their forward and reverse flowers. The focus was on learning section three of their form. Students practiced their forms with a count and on their own. Students should practice their whole form to prepare for next week.

Advanced Weapons: This week, the Advanced weapon students started class with forward ad reverse flowers to strengthen the shoulders. Students then learned section three of their form. Students should practice sections one through three of their spear form to prepare for next week.
