In this blog series, we will post minders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership to your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! Lil’ Dragons: Lil’ Dragons students warmed up with their snake form. They focused on the technique, Cobra Kick, and Burrow! To help with their Cobra Kicks parents can hold out a pillow at students' waist height. Students should hold their snake hands up and kick the target as fast as possible! Keep practicing your Snake form and be ready to show off your Cobra Kick!
BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with an endurance workout. They reviewed all of their basic techniques to prepare for their test. Students also practiced performing their entire form one at a time to get ready for testing. Students shout continue practicing your forms and techniques!
Teen and Adult Basic: This week students began class with an upgraded endurance workout. Students reviewed their basic strikes and blocks in the air and on a bag. Students also practiced their form focusing on keeping their techniques strong. Students finished class with a review of their Basic Blocks!
Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with an endurance workout. Students practiced their mantis techniques the same way they will perform on their test! Students reviewed their entire form and took turns performing. Students should practice their mantis form with power and intensity!
Adult/Teen BBC Program: This week, the Adult and Teen BBC students started off class with a test-style endurance workout. They focused on their mantis techniques in the air and on bags. They also worked on performance details for their Mantis form.
Foundation Weapons: Students in the Foundation section of weapons started off by walking through their form. The focus was on performing their entire form with confidence. Students should practice building shadowboxing combinations using strategies from class.
Advanced Weapons: This week, the Advanced weapon students started class by practicing their fun performance techniques. Students then took turns performing their forms. Students should continue to practice their form and shadowboxing to prepare for their tests.
