In this blog series, we will post reminders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership to your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! Be sure to check out our youtube channel for videos from the first and second sections of this quarter’s forms! With the Spring Quarter starting make sure to practice your new forms to get a strong start!

Lil’ Dragons: Lil’ Dragons students warmed up with a run through the woods. They focused on the technique, Fighting Stance, and Belly Flop! To help with their Fighting Stance parents can hold up a pillow and begin moving towards students, students should quickly step their left foot back into a strong stance and strike the pillow with their snake strike! Keep practicing your Snake form and be ready to show off your Fighting Stance!

BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with an endurance workout. They practiced their Snap Kicks. Students also began learning section one of their Chang Quan form. Students should continue to practice section one of their new form focusing on their balance!

Teen and Adult Basic: This week students began class with an endurance workout. Students began learning section one of their Mantis form. Students also reviewed their basic punches and snap kicks!

Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with an endurance workout. Students learned section one of their Mantis form. Students also worked on their Mantis Hooks! Make sure to practice Section one of the form to start the quarter strong!

Adult/Teen BBC Program: This week, the Adult and Teen BBC students started off class with an endurance workout and some basic stretching. They focused on learning section one of their Mantis form. They also Worked on One-Step Combinations to escape from grabs.

Foundation Weapons: Students in the Foundation section of weapons started off by learning their Wraps, Reverse Wraps, and Level Conceals. The focus was on learning section one of their Broadsword form. Students should practice section one of their form and their wraps.

Advanced Weapons: This week, the Advanced weapon students started class with a review of their forward flowers and fighting stances. They focused on learning section one of their form. Students should practice performing section one of their form with strength and low stances.
