In this blog series, we will post reminders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership to your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! Be sure to check out our youtube channel for videos from the first and second sections of this quarter’s forms! As belt testing approaches make sure to keep an eye out for test sign-up sheets. If you have any questions about testing stop by the front desk!

Lil’ Dragons: Lil’ Dragons students warmed up with partner workouts. They focused on the technique, Low Block, and Cat Tail! To help with their Cat Tails students can use pillows as obstacles to jump over to push their cat tails farther and farther! Keep practicing your Leopard form and be ready to show off your Cat Tail!

BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with a basic endurance workout. They practiced their palm strikes in the air and on a bag. Students also had the opportunity to try the abduction defense. Students should continue to practice their fighting form to prepare for testing!

Teen and Adult Basic: This week students began class with a test-style endurance workout. Students practiced sections three and four of their form. They also reviewed the technique portion of their test and their form application.

Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with a basic endurance workout. Students reviewed their basic strikes in a series of challenges and games. Students also worked on their abduction defense! Make sure to practice your whole form to prepare for testing!

Adult/Teen BBC Program: This week, the Adult and Teen BBC students started off class with a test-style endurance workout. They performed sections three and four of their Chang Quan form. They also practiced building shadowboxing combinations to prepare for their test.

Foundation Weapons: Students in the Foundation section of weapons started off with a review of their entire form to prepare for their performances. The focus was on performing their form without breaks or pauses. Students should practice their form and shadowboxing to prepare for their test.
