In this blog series, we will post reminders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership to your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! Be sure to check out our youtube channel for videos from the first and second sections of this quarter’s forms! Last week was Stripe Testing! Congratulations to everyone that earned their new stripes!

Lil’ Dragons: Lil’ Dragons students warmed up with a review of their form. They focused on the technique, Roll The Dough, and the upgraded Forward Roll! To help with their Roll The Dough parents can slowly punch straight out, students should use their leopard fists to swat punches out of the air! Keep practicing your Leopard form and be ready to show off your Roll The Dough!

BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with a test-style endurance workout. They practiced their entire fighting form to prep for stripe testing. Students also reviewed their Inside and Outside Blocks. Students finished class with performances of their entire form to earn their black stripes!

Teen and Adult Basic: This week students began class with an endurance workout. Students practiced section four of their form. They also practiced their shadowboxing.

Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with a test-style endurance workout. Students reviewed sections three and four of their Chang Quan form. Students also practiced some of the techniques from their form! Make sure to practice your whole form to prepare for testing!

Foundation Weapons: Students in the Foundation section of weapons started off with forward and reverse flowers. The focus was on combining all four sections of the form. Students should practice both weapons and stance shadowboxing to prepare for their test.

Advanced Weapons: Advanced weapon students started by reviewing section five. Advanced weapon students focused mainly on sections one and two of their form. Students should begin walking through their entire form from start to finish.
