Hello AMAI Family!

In this blog series, we will post reminders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership onto your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! As we continue our summer quarter don't forget to practice your forms and endurance!

Lil' Dragons:  Lil' Dragons students warmed up with partner drills. They focused on the techniques Eagle Jump and Drop Stance! To help with their Eagle Jump parents can swing a pillow side to side towards students feet. Students should hold their arm out as they jump up off two feet and land on one! Keep practicing your eagle form and be ready to show off your Eagle Jump!

BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with a basic endurance workout. They practiced their 4 basic blocks focusing on power and holding strong blocks. Students also worked on their Roundhouse and Side Thrust kicks to help with section three of their fighting form!

Teen and Adult Basic students began class with an advanced endurance workout. Students practiced their 4 basic blocks and focused on using them to defend against a variety of attacks. They also focused on performing section three of their fighting form.

Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with a series of basic combinations. Students reviewed sections 3 and 4 of their shaolin form. They also practiced their checks and covers to prepare for sparring. At the end students got to use their basic cobinations and defensive skills to spar with their instructors!

Adult/Teen BBC Program: This week, the Adult and Teen BBC students started off class with a review of the second half of their form. They reviewed their elbow and shoulder Chin Na. They also used their stances to attack and defend for a few rounds of stance sparring.
