Hello AMAI Family!

In this blog series, we will post reminders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership onto your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! Last week was stripe testing, congratulations to everyone who tested and got their new stripes!

Lil' Dragons:  Lil' Dragons students warmed up with their form. They focused on the techniques Double Peck and their Crane Stance. To help with the double peck make sure to show off your super low cat stance! Keep practicing your crane form and be ready to show off your brand new stripes!

BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with an endurance workout. They reviewed their Snap Kick and their High Block Punch. Basic students practiced their entire form start to finish in 3 counts. Keep working on stepping into a strong horse stance!

Teen and Adult Basic students began class with an extra challenging endurance workout. Students reviewed section 3 of their Five Stances form. They focused on timing their Cat Stance and their Flash Palm to have an impressive end to the form.

Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with a classic endurance workout. Students reviewed sections 3+4 of their form to prepare for their stripe test. Students broke down their hook kicks to help get their black stripes.

Adult/Teen BBC Program: This week, the Adult and Teen BBC students continued building up their endurance. They reviewed section 4 of the Soaring Eagle form. They also worked on building their own shadow boxing combinations.

Foundation Weapons: Students in the Foundation section of weapons practiced their entire form start to finish. The focus was on using the techniques from their form to build shadowboxing combinations as a class. Students should practice their basics to help build strong combinations.

Advanced Weapons: Advanced weapon students warmed up with sections 4+5 of their form. Advanced weapon students continued working on sections 4+5 as well as multiple attackers in one step. Students should practice what they worked on for sections 4+5.
