We’ve all heard of Kung Fu movies. At any given point, there’s something in theaters which features martial arts. With the recent release of Marvel’s Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, most of us are certainly used to seeing Kung Fu on the big screen.

But what about Kung Fu books?

This month’s featured article dives into an interview with Fred Yu, a Chinese American author whose books feature aspects of Chinese martial arts in a historical fiction setting. In the interview, Mr. Yu describes how his own martial arts training helped him write the book from a more realistic light than other authors in the same genre, which helps his characters stand out from their counterparts in other modern martial arts fantasy stories. For those of you who enjoy reading, it might be fun to check out some Kung Fu books! Remember, even Shang Chi started as a comic book.
