ABOUT ADULT FITNESS
The AMAI Fitness Program includes group fitness classes in Tai Chi, Stretching/Yoga and COMBAT FITNESS. Combat Fitness is our unique fitness class that incorporates Cardio Kickboxing, Bag training, and Resistance training, all in one workout. You can easily burn up to 800 calories in each 45-minute Combat Fitness class. With our Adult Fitness membership, you get all of these group fitness classes for one low monthly cost, or you can purchase “Class Passes” for “drop-in” sessions. Accountability, support and nutrition guidance is available, as well as one on one training to help you hit your fitness goals.

ADULT FITNESS FEATURES
These rhythmic cardio classes are mid to high impact. Basic classes will focus on the basic punching and kicking movements in boxing and or kickboxing. Advanced classes will see fun and challenging combos built to give you the ultimate fat burning workout.
Whatever your resistance training of choice, you will find a group class to help build strength, shape and tone muscles and burn calories. We offer resistance classes using Dumbbells, BarBells, Resistance Bands, Kettlebells and BodyWeight exercises. Some classes will focus on 2-3 muscle groups for people doing resistance training several times a week. Full body workouts are ideal for people who can only get resistance training once a week.
What better way to relieve stress then punching and kicking bags. Plus, studies show women who engage in workouts that punch and kick bags have higher bone mineral density than women of similar age who do not engage in this type of workout.
Our Circuit workouts are similar to a crossfit style workout. We will have 10-15 stations set up for you to come in and run the course. You will workout at each station for various time limits set up by the instructors. Push yourself as hard as you can and compete against others times and output numbers for the various stations.
These classes are great workout for athletes looking to improve speed and agility. Lots of plyometric exercises to help the athlete build explosive power. These classes are not just for the “pros”. These classes are for anyone looking for a new challenge and to add variety to your workouts.
These low impact classes are great for relaxing, improving strength, improving flexibility and improving circulation and blood flow. These classes will also improve balance and mental cognition. These classes are great for people of all ages.
Our ALL SENIORS classes are for people age 65 and older and who want to work out in an environment with their peers. These 30 minute classes meet during the day and include
- SENIORS STRENGTH – Resistance workouts using low resistance but designed to improve strength and maintain or improve muscular strength.
- SENIORS TAI CHI – Our Tai Chi for seniors is a 30 minute class that teaches tai chi movements for low impact exercise.
- SENIORS SELF DEFENSE – Our Seniors Self Defense is included in our Seniors program and focuses on practical ways seniors can defend themselves and more importantly not appear as an “easy target” to potential attackers.
