In this blog series, we will post reminders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership onto your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! Last week was stripe testing! Congratulations to all students who received a new stripe!


 

Lil’ Dragons:  Lil’ Dragons students warmed up with their crane form. They focused on the techniques Crane’s Beak Into A Cat Stance, and Cranes Stance. To help with the Crane Stance students can practice hopping from one foot to the other in their Crane Stances as fast as they can! Keep practicing your crane form and be ready to show off your Crane Stance!

 

BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with an endurance workout. They reviewed their Thread Palm and their Snap Kick. Basic students also worked on performing their entire Five Stances form. Keep working on performing the whole form section by section.

Teen and Adult Basic students also performed sections 1-3 of the Five Stances form. They worked on Line Kicks. As well as the 4 basic blocks.

Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with their endurance workout. They reviewed their Outside Crescent Kick, and building up their Lotus Kicks. Students reviewed sections 1+2 of their Soaring Eagle form to prepare for their stripe test.

 

Adult/Teen BBC Program: This week, the Adult and Teen BBC students worked on more challenging variations of their standard endurance workout. They reviewed section 2 of the Soaring Eagle form. They worked on striking first with their abduction defense combinations.

 

Foundation Weapons: Students in the Foundation section of weapons warmed up with wrist stretches and flowers. The focus was on learning section 3 of the form. Students should practice sections 1-3 of their form together.

 

Advanced Weapons: Advanced weapon students warmed up with Blocks and Counter Strikes. Advanced students. Advanced weapon students focused on the stopping power of their chops, as well as their forward and reverse flowers. Students also reviewed sections 1-3 of their form.
