In this blog series, we will post reminders of what the students worked on during the previous week. This gives you or your child ideas for how to practice at home between classes. If you need extra help on any movements or sections of the form, talk to your instructor about adding a Virtual Membership to your current membership to unlock videos that break down every section of your form and every technique! Lil’ Dragons:  Lil’ Dragons students warmed up with their form to prepare for their stripe test. They focused on the techniques Thrust Kick and Wind Up Ridgehand! To help with their Thrust Kick parents can Hold a pillow in front of students at shoulder height. Students should pick up their right foot and push straight out into their target to push it away from them! Students ended class by performing their Chang Quan form to get their new stripes. Keep practicing your Chang Quan form and be ready to show off your Thrust Kick!

BASIC Program: Kids BASIC students warmed up with a test-style endurance workout. They practiced their entire form in three counts. Students ended class by performing their forms one at a time to earn their black stripes!

Teen and Adult Basic: This week students began class with an endurance workout. Students practiced their snake creeps down with a fun game of Kung Fu limbo. They also reviewed their entire form start to finish.

Kids BBC Program: Kids BBC students started class with a test-style endurance workout. Students reviewed sections three and four of their leopard form as well as their self defense applications. They ended by performing their forms to earn their stripes!

Adult/Teen BBC Program: This week, the Adult and Teen BBC students started off class with a challenging endurance workout. They reviewed sections three and four of their form and worked on combining them. They also practiced one step combinations with their instructors.

Foundation Weapons: Students in the Foundation section of weapons started off by applying their wraps to self-defense combinations. The focus was on building a shadow boxing combination individually. Students should continue to practice their entire form without any pauses.

Advanced Weapons: Advanced weapon students warmed up with their entire form. Advanced weapon students reviewed sections three and four of their form. Students also performed the second half of their form
